This privately owned company was established in Greenwood, South Carolina in 1924. The company originally manufactured only deck mops, or yacht mops as they are called by many. In fact, these mops were sold “door to door” in the early years. Over the 80 plus years of operation, the company’s line of products has grown dramatically. Today, the extensive Greenwood line includes these deck mops as well as upright brooms, wet mop heads, dust mops, squeegees, push brooms, brushes and various other cleaning related products.
In order to provide quick response to customer needs, Greenwood Mop & Broom, Inc. recently relocated to a 452,000 square feet facility that provides the necessary space to maintain a large inventory of finished goods. This factor greatly enhances the company’s ability to be customer responsive.
